Moncado Colony Fiesta - July 2011

Earlier this month, Moncado Colony commemorates the 64th Anniversary of the Filipino Crusaders World Army (FCWA). Time flies so fast! It’s been a year now when I posted Some Highlights from Sudlon 2 Moncado Colony Fiesta – July 2010. And now I'm featuring again some of the highlights from Sudlon 2 Moncado Colony Fiesta – July 2011.

As always, the celebration was started through a parade. It was followed by some production numbers then a swimming contest.

In the afternoon, there’s a Basketball Championship Game held at the Sports Complex.

It’s JMIT vs. Upper Colony. The JMIT Team was headed by Zaldy Malagum Jr. while the Upper Colony Team was headed by Jerome Sarte.

JMIT vs. Upper Colony - Close Fight

It was a very close fight. The score was tied at the end of the regular play so the teams played a five-minute overtime period. In the end, JMIT won over the Upper Colony. They're the overall champion in Basketball for this year's July Fiesta.

In the evening, there are some shows prepared for everyone. The high school students from SIS opened the show with their own program/presentations, followed by the Goddesses and a lot more.

This year’s July fiesta wasn’t as ‘bongga’ and exciting as before, though we still enjoyed it. I just hope that in the next fiestas to come, they’d be able to bring something new and make it more fun and exciting. J
